International conference on early childhood education in Helsinki – Registration is now open!

You are warmly welcome to join the international conference Children first – Designing sustainable early childhood education in Helsinki, Finland 4–7 May 2020.

We offer a high-quality conference that highlights the latest research and the best global practices on early childhood education and care (ECEC). In Finland, all development of ECEC focuses on the child. Have a look at our presentation video on YouTube

Program

The conference is built around five themes: pedagogically, ecologically, socially, culturally and economically strong ECEC. Read what our Director General Olli-Pekka Heinonen writes about the themes in the conference blog.

The conference programme includes keynote speeches and an optional programme combining theory and practice and visits to different inspiring Finnish ECEC environments.
